Rojo is currently with the Argentinian squad competing at the World Cup, after previously being linked with moves to Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, despite looking likely that he will leave the Portuguese club this summer, he has moved to distance himself from being dragged into speculation over where his future might lie as he doesn’t want anything to detract from his World Cup experience.

“I am calm and I’m keeping my mind on the World Cup”, Rojo said.

“I have done the right things in the past year in Europe and we will see what my future holds”, he added, in a nod towards a potential move.”

The 24-year-old mae 24 appearances for Sporting last term, bagging four goals in the process.

He still has 18 months remaining on his current deal in the Portuguese capital, but has attracted significant interest to warrant a big money move away.
