Referee’s tool used for sexist joke.
Vanishing spray, apparently a fairly old referee’s tool in South America, made its World Cup debut in Brazil earlier this month.
FIFA officials use it to mark temporary white lines on the pitch to prevent encroachment at free-kicks.
It appears that the tool is now being used by fans as well.
Two sets of joking lads have made their own ‘vanishing spray’, presumably out of shaving foam, to keep women away from the television set while the football is on.
