Reports emerged earlier that Arsenal had agreed a deal with Serge Aurier regarding the Ivorian international’s wage demands, but with no fee agreed with Toulouse, Queens Park Rangers and Swansea City are ready to muscle in on the deal according to reports from the Daily Star

The Toulouse right back has been one of the most impressive performers for the Ivory Coast at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, with his marauding runs from deep having created two goals for his team already in their opening victory over Japan, a result that leaves them in pole position to qualify from Group C despite defeat to Colombia.

Aurier is contracted at the Ligue 1 side until 2018, but with his stock having continued to grow over an impressive season for the club it is suggested that bids in the region of £8 million would be enough to prise him away.

Arsene Wenger is looking to replace Bacary Sagna, another right back who was originally signed to little fanfare from Ligue 1 but went on to be a solid performer for the Gunners before departing for Manchester City on a free transfer this summer.

As long as they are able to agree a fee with Toulouse then Arsenal are likely to remain favourites to secure the signature of Aurier, but if negotiations break down then the door could well be opened for either Swansea or QPR as they look to improve their squads ahead of the new season.
