La Liga team preparing to make an offer for Eden’s brother Thorgan Hazard.
According to reports in the Daily Star today, Valencia are lining up a bid to sign attacking midfielder Hazard from Chelsea this summer.
Blues fans needn’t worry too much, however, as it is Eden’s little brother Thorgan who is the subject of Valencia’s interest, with 21 year-old recently having returned from a season-long loan spell with Belgian side Zulte Waregem.
Hazard arrived at Stamford Bridge from French side Lens at the same time that his brother arrived from Lille, but Thorgan was not just brought in to help Eden settle in – the Belgian international is an attacking midfielder who possesses many of the same technical attributes as his older brother.
Valencia have just been taken over by Singapore businessman Peter Lim and are expected to have a sizeable transfer kitty at their disposal this summer as they look to make it back into the Champions League.
Hazard is likely to have competition for a place in the side should he make the move to the Mestalla, however, with Valencia having a number of talented attacking midfielders including Sofiane Feghouli, who scored from the spot for Algeria against Hazard’s Belgium at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and silky Spaniard Dani Parejo.
