Etihad Stadium side welcome in Argentine custodian.

Check in to Nigeria vs Argentina

Man City have reportedly won the race to sign highly rated Malaga keeper Willy Caballero according to the Daily Mirror.

The 32 year old will reunite with his former boss Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium after agreeing a £7m deal with the La Liga side and Argentine will presumably challenge Joe Hart for the first team starting spot with Costel Pantilimon having left the Premier League title holders for Sunderland this summer.

Hart was momentarily dropped from Pellegrini’s first team starting eleven for a spell in 2013/14 but then displayed a real return to form and seems to be safe as Man City’s number one.

Man City had the second best defensive record in the Premier League last season which would suggest that Hart is a solid safe pair of hands to have behind the club’s back-line.

Cabellero joined Malaga in February 2011 and has made 117 La Liga appearances for the La Rosaleda side.
