AS Monaco forward Radamel Falcao believes that he will sign for Real Madrid this summer, according to AS.

The Spanish newspaper claim to have spoken to one of Falcao’s Colombian teammates, who is quoted as saying: “Falcao thinks he’s going to join Real Madrid this summer.

“He dreams of playing there, and is only prepared to listen to offers from Los Blancos.”

Falcao apparently told a different Colombian teammate: “My future depends on God… and in this case God is [Real Madrid president] Florentino Perez.”

Former River Plate, Porto and Atletico Madrid star Falcao has not played a competitive game since suffering a serious knee injury in January.

He was unable to regain his fitness in time to be selected in Colombia’s World Cup squad, but the 28-year-old has visited the team at their Brazil base, where the aforementioned conversations are alleged to have taken place.

Falaco joined Monaco from Atletico last summer for a fee in the region of £52m and he scored nine goals in 17 Ligue 1 games before injury intervened.

Despite his impressive start to life in the French league, Falcao is said to be unsettled and is keen to move this summer.

Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have all been linked with interest in Falcao, but the player himself seems to have his heart set on a move to the Bernabeu.
