Barcelona are reportedly looking at Manchester United target Daley Blind as a possible signing in this summer’s transfer market, according to Fichajes.com.

The Catalan giants already have Jordi Alba as first choice at left-back, but are looking like making a number of major changes to their squad this summer under new manager Luis Enrique, who has been impressed by Blind’s displays at the 2014 World Cup.

The 24-year-old, who currently plays for Ajax, had emerged as a possible target for United as they sought a new left-sided full-back to come in, though their interest in the player is likely to have cooled following the signing of Luke Shaw from Southampton to fill that role.

Blind certainly looks like a player capable of making the step up to a bigger club and a more competitive league at this stage in his career, and he could provide Alba with a good challenge for his place in Barca’s starting lineup, whilst also providing more depth in the squad if Brazilian full-back Adriano leaves for Roma.

Barcelona are also rumoured to be looking at other similar signings in that area, with Juventus’ Kwadwo Asamoah also emerging as one of the options on their radar.
