Real Madrid are to step-up their interest in Liverpool striker Luis Suarez with the Bernabeu side to table an official bid for the 27 year old regardless of the four month ban he has been handed by FIFA following the recent incident between the Uruguayan and Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.

CaughtOffside understands that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has not been put off in his pursuit of the 27 year old Anfield star and has been in talks with Carlo Ancelotti in relation to the bid the Spanish giants are to mount for the former Ajax forward.

Real Madrid are prepared to offer €80m (£64m) plus the choice of one of three potential players in a part exchange deal that would see Alvaro Morata, Isco or Fabio Coentrao move to the Merseyside club, depending of course on whether the player concerned doesn’t stand in the way of such a switch.

Liverpool are ready to cash-in on Suarez having been further embarrassed by the marksman’s actions and are now in the process of attempting to get the best deal possible whilst also looking to conduct such a deal as speedily as possible so as to give boss Brendan Rodgers times to spend the funds received from such a sale.

Suarez had a superb campaign in 2013/14 and has appeared to have turned a corner in disciplinary terms but having stuck by their prized asset through a number of unsavoury high-profile incidents Liverpool will now look to sell Suarez and the club’s American owners will offer all the funds from the sale to Rodgers to help his squad building project.

The trio of players offered to Rodgers could all be of use though it is thought that Spanish Under 21 international striker Morata would be the player he favours most, not least as the club’s imminent signing of Southampton and England midfielder Adam Lallana would negate the need to bring in Isco to some degree.

Morata is considered one of the hottest prospects in Spanish football but has struggled to retain a foothold in the Real Madrid starting eleven, any hope of which likely to be further hampered by the signing of Suarez.

The 21 year old started just three La Liga fixtures last season but still managed to rack up eight goals and is known to be a player Rodgers has shown an interest in.
