The Brazilian media have been quick to mock their departed rivals who have already been knocked out of this summer’s 2014 FIFA World Cup.
As spotted by ITV, who published this picture on social media website Instagram, the Brazil O Globo Newspaper were happily wishing a fond farewell to the likes of Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mario Balotelli and Luis Suarez as they prepare for their second round match.
The World Cup hosts and favourites face Chile today as they look to progress through to the quarter-final stage of the competition. Victory could potentially see them go up against old-foes Uruguay, who famously denied the Brazilians victory last time the World Cup was played on their home soil back in 1950.
