Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in relation to personal terms on a contract with the Nou Camp side according to Spanish source Sport.

The 27 year old could well be set to leave Anfield after being handed a four month ban following the punishment handed down by FIFA after the Uruguayan was once again found guilty of biting an opponent, on this occasion that opponent being Italian centre-back Giorgio Chiellini.

Liverpool may have already had a struggle on their hands to keep hold of Suarez following his excellent showing in 2013/14, during which he finished the Premier League season as top-scorer and second leading assist maker, but the Merseyside outfit could well be even more minded to cash-in on the troubled forward following his latest unsavoury altercation.

Barcelona will offer €30m (£24m) plus Chilean attacker Alexis Sanchez, a deal the La Liga side deem as worth a total of €60m (£48m) and presumably not a deal that Liverpool will feel values Suarez highly enough.

Though former Ajax man is arguably one of the most in-form players in world football at present and having seen Tottenham sell Gareth Bale for around £85m a year ago Liverpool would surely look to garner a similar fee for Suarez this summer.

Incoming Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is keen to ring the changes at the club after the Catalan giants completed last term in a rare trophy-less manner, which cost Argentine Gerardo Martino his job.

Cesc Fabregas has already left for Chelsea and veterans Carles Puyol and Victor Valdes have also brought an end to their glittering careers at the club.

Barcelona have thus far signed goalkeeping pair Marc-André ter Stegen and Claudio Bravo as well as Croatian playmaker Ivan Rakitic.

Liverpool may well be keen to see Sanchez as part of any deal that would see Suarez leave, especially after the 25 year old’s magnificent displays at the World Cup finals, during which he netted against Australia and Brazil.
