Arsenal are closing in on deals to sign three top quality additions in the coming days as Arsene Wenger makes the most of his proximity to talents present at the World Cup finals.

CaughtOffside understands that the Gunners boss has made good use of his time in Brazil, where he is working for French TV, entering into advanced negotiations with representatives of three players who have been on international duty.

The north London side are nearing deals to sign Chilean attacker Alexis Sanchez, French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and Ivory Coast right-back Serge Aurier.

Wenger is keen to do his summer transfer business early in the window as he looks to avoid the prospect last minute deadline day heartache whilst also being keen to bring in new signings ahead of pre-season activity.

Arsenal’s board will hand Wenger a fairly large transfer war-chest as they seek to build on last term’s FA Cup success, which did of course bring an end to a lengthy silverware drought, and the French manager is confident he can lure top talents to the club this summer.

£27m rated Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez is set to be sold by new boss Luis Enrique and he’s a player who has impressed over the past year and could be used by Wenger either in a wide or central striking role.

The 25 year old scored 19 goals in La Liga in 2013/14 and has had an impressive World Cup campaign.

Battler Schneiderlin is seen as a long term replacement for Spanish veteran Mikel Arteta and as others leave Southampton it’s looking increasingly likely the 24 year old will push to do so as he looks to take the step ‘up’ to a side that can offer him a first taste of Champions League football.

It is thought that this pair will set Arsenal back around £42m whilst Arsenal have long been in talks to bring in Toulouse youngster Aurier to replace Man City bound Bacary Sagna, with that move likely to cost in the region of £10=£12m.
