Real Madrid could be closing in on two superb summer transfer deals for Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos and AS Monaco winger James Rodriguez, according to various reports in Spain.
Front covers of today’s print editions of both Marca and AS claim that Kroos and Rodriguez are among the Spanish giants’ top targets for this transfer window, as pointed out by RealMadridNews.com.
German international Kroos has long been linked with a move to Manchester United after stalling on signing a new contract with his current club Bayern, where he has developed into one of the best playmakers in Europe on the way to winning a host of big trophies with the Bavarian giants.
Chelsea have also been linked with the 24-year-old, but Madrid are seemingly set to land him for a fee of around £24m in what should go down as a great purchase.
As well as that, the Champions League winners could enhance their attacking options with the signing of World Cup star Rodriguez, whose form for Colombia so far in Brazil has seen him emerge as one of the players of the tournament.
His displays for his country have also attracted strong interest from United, but the player himself has previously suggested that he would favour a move to the Bernabeu over others.
