Chelsea’s proposed £60m move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba could hinge on Arsenal or Manchester United’s success in signing his team-mate Arturo Vidal, according to the Daily Express.

The Blues are desperate to land the French youngster in a club-record deal this summer after his performances in Serie A have seen him become regarded as one of the best up-and-coming talents in the world.

However, Pogba’s midfield partner Vidal is also high in demand this summer after his key role in Juve’s recent success, as well as an impressive World Cup with his national side Chile, with Arsenal and United currently his main admirers.

The Italian giants refuse to lose both players in the same transfer window, and Pogba will not be granted his move to Chelsea if Vidal also ends up heading to the Premier League.

This will no doubt serve as a major incentive for the Blues’ rivals, who will be keen to land themselves one of Europe’s top midfield players whilst also denying Jose Mourinho’s side the chance to make another major signing.

The Stamford Bridge outfit have already been busy this summer, signing Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona while Diego Costa looks likely to arrive from Atletico Madrid.
