Spanish based football journalist Graham Hunter has given an extremely interesting interview with BBC 5Live, in which he has outlined the important factors surrounding the potential deal to bring Uruguayan sensation Luis Suarez from Liverpool to Barcelona.
While he claims Barcelona will definitely move for the controversial 27-year-old, he reckons that the club’s board is not entirely on agreement regarding the pursuit of the forward.
Hunter also reckons that Suarez’s recent apology was demanded by Barcelona, but that his potential market value will not actually be effected, despite his four month ban from all football given for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.
Importantly, Hunter claims that Sanchez, who Barcelona want to be used as bait to tempt Liverpool into selling, would prefer to stay
“Alexis Sanchez will be gently told to ‘find the right place to go’. We’d like it to be Anfield,” said Hunter, who’s been based in Barcelona since 2001.
