The west London side are thought to be interested in the 27 year old and could be the first forward to join Jose Mourinho’s side this summer with the deal to bring in Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa taking far longer than most had predicted.
Fenerbahce have made Emenike available after the forward netted 11 goals in 27 appearances for the Istanbul side last season.
Samuel Eto’o has left Stamford Bridge and the futures of Demba Ba and Fernando Torres are uncertain and as such one can see why Mourinho would be looking to strengthen his Blues attack and the Chelsea manager is also said to be pursuing Mario Mandzukic and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
Both Bundesliga strikers would appear to be better options given Emenike’s relatively sparse top level experience, the striker havig previously played in South Africa and Russia before moving to Turkey.
Loaned out forward Romelu Lukaku’s future at Chelsea is also seemingly unclear with the Belgian having spent the last two campaigns scoring regularly for West Brom and Everton.
