The Argentine has a number of central midfield options and has been linked with an interest in his former Saints charge Morgan Schneiderlin and as such could be open to considering the sale of one, if not two, of Benitez’s targets.
Having spent over £110m on new players last summer chairman Daniel Levy will be keen to balance any moves for further signings with the sales of players Pochettino deems surplus to his requirements and as such Napoli may get lucky in their advances.
Of the pair Brazilian Sandro could be more likely to depart given he started just ten Premier League fixtures last term to Dembele’s total of 22.
