Etihad Stadium midfielder wants to leave.

Check in to Belgium vs USA

Kolo Toure has informed Man City that he wishes to leave the Etihad Stadium side this summer according to Spanish source Sport.

The 31 year old has enjoyed a hugely successful four season spell at Man City and is a player Manuel Pellegrini would be loathed to lose.

One of the key reasons given for his wanting to leave stems from the Man City’s stance to his need to take time away from the game due to the illness suffered by his brother Ibrahim, who died last month after a short battle with cancer.

There is sure to be no shortage of offers for the attack minded midfielder who is arguably in the best form of his career having racked up 20 Premier League goals last term before taking part in Ivory Coast’s disappointing World Cup campaign.

Any side that does take an interest in the former Barcelona man would have to meet the player’s sky-high wage expectations, Yaya Toure currently being one of the highest paid players in world football.

During his four seasons at Man City Toure has secured a host of honours including two Premier League titles, an FA Cup triumph and a Capital One Cup success and has scored 51 goals in 184 appearances.
