Arsenal are readying a bid for Man United striker Javier Hernandez after the Mexican once again expressed his dissatisfaction with his role at Old Trafford according to the Daily Express.

The 26 year old has struggled to retain a foothold in the Man United starting eleven for four seasons and appears ready to push for an exit as he seeks to re-ignite his career.

Chicharito made just six Premier League starts last term and this led to a limited role in his national team’s World Cup exploits leading to the forward stating:

“This whole year has been very tough. Players need confidence more than anything else, and I’ve been very short of it.

“Very few people have shown faith in me over this past year.”

Hernandez is behind Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck in Man United’s pecking order and the January arrival of Juan Mata and the emergence of youngster Adnan Januzaj are further obstacles and a move away from Man United could be the best for all concerned.

Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Tottenham are also said to be keen on Hernandez but a move to the Emirates Stadium may tempt the player, not least as Arsene Wenger doesn’t possess a great many central striking talents, especially with the French manager preferring to play Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski out wide.

This has led to an over dependence on Olivier Giroud and seemingly space for a proven Premier League marksman like Hernandez, who has scored 59 goals in 152 appearances for Man United, of which 69 were from the bench.
