Bayern Munich Set £20m Asking Price For Arsenal Target

Could Mario Mandzukic be on his way to Arsenal…

Find out who are the most valuable players in world football.

Mario Mandzukic will be on his way to Arsenal, but only if Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is willing to meet Bayern Munich’s £20 million asking price.

The Croatian striker is desperate to quit the German champions this summer, after finding himself out in the cold with Munich manager Pep Guardiola.  And the Daily Star is claiming that Arsenal remain firmly in the hunt for the player’s signature.

With Borussia Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski joining the Bayern this summer, Mandzukic is likely to find first team opportunities even more limited at the Allianz Arena.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan have all been linked with the 28-year-old, who has scored 33 goals in 54 league games for his current club since joining from Wolfsburg.

But Arsenal, who currently have Olivier Giroud as their only recognised, Premier League proven striker, are extremely keen on adding another forward player to their squad this summer, and could force through a move by meeting Munich’s valuation.

Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez and AC Milan’s Mario Balotelli have also had rumours linking them with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but with Sanchez also a target for Liverpool, and a move for the controversial Italian reportedly having been shelved, Mandzukic now looks like the most likely target.
