Spanish football journalist Kike Marin has claimed that Arsenal have submitted an offer for Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez, which will no doubt worry Liverpool fans greatly, who have been greatly excited about the possibility of their side picking up the Chilean as part of the potential Luis Suarez deal.

If they cannot secure Sanchez, manager Brendan Rodgers will surely still be on the prowl for wing-forwards who can support Raheem Sterling at Anfield, with a Champions League campaign to prepare for.

Here’s five he should consider…

5) Juan Cuadrado – Fiorentina

Manchester United have already made a £32m bid for the excellent Colombian, who is shining at this summer’s World Cup. Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also interested, meaning the Reds will face a huge task to secure the 26-year-old winger. It could be worth it though, with Cuadrado bagging 11 Serie A goals last term. He can play in any number of attacking positions, and has even been known to play at wing-back.
