Juventus Eyeing Season-Long Loan Move For Manchester City Outcast

Juve set sights on City youngster.Juventus could make an offer to take Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic on loan for the season with a view to a permanent deal, according to talkSPORT.

The 21-year-old is a highly regarded prospect at the Etihad Stadium, having impressed in his first season with the club in 2012/13, though injuries disrupted his progress the following year as he only made 11 appearances in the club’s Premier League title-winning campaign.

Having first caught the eye with Fiorentina in Serie A, the Serbian could now make his way back to Italy as Juventus seek to bring him in as defensive cover after an injury to Andrea Barzagli, who could miss the first few months of the new season.

The Italian giants could then be open to signing Nastasic on a permanent basis if he impresses in Turin, with City possibly open to letting him go as manager Manuel Pellegrini continues to eye new defensive signings in this transfer window.

After some unconvincing displays from the likes of Vincent Kompany and Martin Demichelis for much of the last season, big names such as Mehdi Benatia of Roma have been linked with the club, and it could also be that Nastasic is offered to the Serie A runners-up as a potential makeweight in the deal.
