Red Devils targeting impressive World Cup pair for summer transfers.
Check in to Manchester United vs Swansea City
Manchester United will this week ramp up their efforts to sign classy midfield duo Sami Khedira and James Rodriguez after both players have impressed greatly during this summer’s World Cup.
The Manchester Evening News has claimed that United are still very much in the hunt to land the German star despite Arsenal stepping up their own efforts to bring him to the Premier League.
The 27-year-old has been tipped to head for the exit at the Bernabeu at some point during the transfer window after missing the majority of the previous campaign through injury.
He had recovered in time to make an appearance during the Champions League final and was even called up to Germany’s World Cup squad, where he has played a key part in helping them reach the quarter-finals.
Khedira has just one-year remaining on his current deal in the Spanish capital, but it is thought that he would still command a hefty fee anywhere between £16-24m as Real hope to spark a bidding war between United and Arsenal.
