Arsenal Eye Shock Move For Barcelona Record Breaker

Youngest man to play for Barcelona in La Liga could be set for the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are plotting a move for Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic, according to talkSPORT.

The rumour, which was originally reported by Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, claims that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants to give the 23-year-old a chance in the Premier League, despite him failing to dazzle in La Liga, Serie A and the Eredivisie.

Bojan was hailed as the next big thing when Barcelona handed him his debut just 19 days after his 17th birthday in 2007 – an appearance that made him the club’s youngest ever La Liga player, breaking Lionel Messi’s record.

However, he has yet to live up to his potential. In the past three seasons he has been sent out on loan to AS Roma, AC Milan and most recently Ajax.

In total, he played 76 league games during those loan spells, scoring just 14 goals.

Bojan would fit well into Wenger’s current 4-2-3-1 formation at Arsenal, as he can operate either as a central forward or on the wing.

Liverpool have also been linked with Bojan in the past, but the Reds no longer seem interested, although Deportivo La Coruna are keen.

Bojan, who has one senior Spanish cap to his name, has 12 months left to run on his current contract at the Camp Nou.
