Argentina goal machine Lionel Messi has sent a get well soon message to Barcelona teammate Neymar.
Brazil hero Neymar was injured late on in the host nation’s 2-1 win over Colombia in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup on Friday night.
Neymar had scored four goals and provided one assist in five games at the tournament, but he will take no further part.
The injury occurred when Colombia defender Juan Zuniga’s planted his knee into Neymar’s back.
Brazil and Argentina will meet in the final if both win their respective matches.
The two nations are the fiercest of rivals, but Messi, 27, clearly cares for Neymar, having played with the 22-year-old at club level for the past year.
