Manchester United have agreed a £40m deal for Juventus superstar Arturo Vidal, reports the Express.
The 27-year-old Chilean enjoyed an exceptional season with the Old Lady in 2013/14 – which led many to rate him as one of the world’s best midfielders, with the player himself claiming that he’s in fact the very best in the planet back in January!
Whether he’s the best is debatable, but his world-class pedigree is not, and if United have agreed a fee for the Chilean, their fans will likely be extremely pleased – having seen Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera already arrive for a combined sum of around £60m.
Vidal prides himself on his battling qualities in the middle of the park. While he’s exceptionally combative, he can also create and score goals aplenty. Last term, he bagged 18 in all competitions, and registered five assists in Serie A as well.
United need central midfield enforcements as a priority, and Louis van Gaal’s United squad will be taking shape if they do manage to snare the brilliant South American.
