Fellaini content at Old Trafford
Marouane Fellaini has insisted he has nothing to prove at Old Trafford, despite a disappointing first season with Manchester United which has left him on the brink of a move away from the club.
Former United boss David Moyes paid £27.5 million to take Fellaini from Everton last summer. However, the Belgian went on to make just 12 Premier League starts, and failed to score a goal.
With Ander Herrera arriving from Athletic Bilbao, he could find life at the club even harder next season.
Asked if he will still be at Old Trafford next season, Fellaini replied: “We will see after the World Cup. I don’t have to prove anything. I’ve been a professional footballer for eight years.”
