Arsenal and Barcelona have reportedly agreed a deal that would see Alexis Sanchez move to the Emirates Stadium according to Goal.com.

The north London side have met the La Liga side’s £32m valuation and will now seek to discuss terms with the 25 year old Chilean over the course of the next 48 hours.

Sanchez has apparently agreed ‘in principle’ to Arsenal’s contractual offer and the Nou Camp star is said to favour a move to the Emirates Stadium over offers from Manchester United, Liverpool and Juventus, who have apparently all tabled offers.

Other sources revealed earlier this week that the contract offer tabled is worth as much as £135,000 a week.

Arsene Wenger believes Sanchez, who is primarily used by Barcelona in a wide attacking role, has the attributes to be developed into a centre-forward and will be used to provide competition for overworked French international Olivier Giroud.

Sanchez had his most productive goal-scoring season to date last term, netting 19 goals in La Liga action alone, so one can well see how the former Udinesea man can be used effectively in a central striking berth.

New Barcelona boss Luis Enrique appears ready to re-shuffle his squad having already sold Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea whilst veteran pair Carles Puyol and Victor Valdes have also left the Catalan club.
