GK – Keylor Navas, Costa Rica
After enjoying a fine season with Levante in La Liga the 27-year-old then stood firm between the sticks for the surprise team of the tournament, with the Costa Ricans making the quarter-finals despite being drawn in a group with Uruguay, Italy and England.
Navas conceded just once against those teams and in fact let in just two goals in normal time during the entire competition and despite penalty shoot-out heroics against Greece in the last-16, could not repeat the feat against Netherlands.
