Attack-minded teenager completes Chelsea move.
Chelsea have made their third signing of the summer by completing a deal for Croatia Under-21 midfielder Mario Pasalic.
The attacking 19-year-old, who arrives at Stamford Bridge from Hajduk Split, joins Spanish duo Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa on the Blues’ growing list of summer buys.
Pasalic enjoyed a fine season with Hajduk last term, scoring 11 goals in 36 games in all competitions for the side that finished third in Croatia’s top division.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Pasalic said that he is “very happy” to be joining Chelsea.
He also said that club legend Frank Lampard is his favourite player.
Pasalic trained with Chelsea this afternoon, after the club announced his arrival on Twitter.

Pasalic may well struggle to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea first team set-up next term and one imagines a loan move away to gain some much needed top tier experience may be on the cards.
Mourinho has a expansive squad and could be required to reduce numbers somewhat in order to help his west London side to adhere to UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines.
