Arsenal to accept offers for Spaniard.Arsenal look ready to sell experienced Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta this summer if the right offer comes along, according to reports in the Times.
The 32-year-old is supposedly attracting interest from Serie A side Fiorentina, whilst also recently being linked with La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao as a replacement for Manchester United new-boy Ander Herrera.
Despite becoming a key player for the Gunners during his three years at the Emirates Stadium, Arteta may no longer be part of Arsene Wenger’s plans for the future after a slight dip in his performances last season.
£6m may be enough for the north Londoners to let Arteta go this summer, though it is currently thought that Fiorentina hope to sign him for almost half of that fee, at around £3.2m.
Arteta is in the final year of his contract with Arsenal, which may mean clubs are not willing to pay up to sign him this year. Meanwhile, La Viola are said to be ready to offer him a two-year deal if he moves to Florence.
