In-demand winger’s future in doubt.Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United could all be on alert after news that Antoine Griezmann has rejected a new contract offer from Real Sociedad, according to talkSPORT.
The 23-year-old winger has been one of the most exciting players in La Liga for some time now, catching the eye of a number of top clubs this summer after scoring 20 goals for Sociedad in all competitions this season.
Liverpool are known to be on the lookout for new attacking players and are especially in need following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, and it could now be that clubs will attempt to activate the player’s £25m buy-out clause with the Basque outfit.
Manchester United are also trying to sign Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid, but may also take an interest in Griezmann’s situation as new manager Louis van Gaal seeks new additions on the flanks.
The La Liga star made an impression for France at this summer’s World Cup, and now looks ready to move on to bigger things after spending the majority of his career so far with Sociedad.
Still with two years remaining on his current contract, Griezmann may yet be open to putting pen to paper on a new deal, but this latest news will certainly see speculation over his future increase.
