Since joining Liverpool, Brazil midfielder Lucas Leiva has injured his anterior cruciate ligament, his medial collateral ligament, his hip and his thigh.
Fortunately, Lucas is fully fit right now, meaning he is able to take part in the club’s pre-season training.
However, the last thing he needs is crunching tackles from his teammates.
He was on the end of an overly eager challenge from Wales international Joe Allen earlier this week.
Lucas seemed to be cool with it though. He uploaded the below picture to Instagram, along with the message: “First week done of the pre season. Relax Joe lad hahaha. #joeallen #friend”.
Meanwhile, Spanish left-back Jose Enrique shared the picture below, with the words: “First week with the team done. I couldn’t wait to be back with the team. Can’t wait for this season to start”.
