Barcelona are set to charge past their Premier League rivals in the chase for Colombian star Juan Cuadrado, according to the Express, who suggest that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United will all be left behind by the Catalans in the hunt for the flying winger.

New Barca manager Luis Enrique hasn’t taken long to make his mark in the transfer market at the Nou Camp this summer, with forward Luis Suarez already having arrived at the club from Liverpool in a huge deal this week.

They remain on the hunt for fresh talent after a disappointing season, however, with Enrique’s remit likely to be reclaiming the La Liga and Champions League titles that they missed out on last season.

All three of the Premier League giants are suggested to have held interest in the Fiorentina player this summer, but Arsenal would now seem to be unlikely to follow it through after securing the signing Alexis Sanchez – ironically from Barcelona.

Manchester United and Liverpool, however, could both make for intriguing potential destinations for Cuadrado, with new United manager Louis van Gaal seemingly keen to add more marquee names to his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have money to burn after the huge sale of Suarez, and Cuadrado would offer an interesting if not quite like-for-like replacement – but the report does suggest that whoever signs him will have to part with a fee in the region of £30 million.
