Newcastle United are reportedly ‘poised’ to sign Man United winger Wilfried Zaha according to the Daily Mail.

The 21 year old wide-man has had little chance to prove himself since securing his £12m move to Old Trafford in January 2013.

The England man was immediately loaned back to Crystal Palace to help the Eagles secure promotion to the Premier League in 2012/13 and was rewarded with just two sub run-outs by former manager David Moyes before he was sent to Cardiff City on loan.

Zaha failed to make much of an impact with the Bluebirds and is now once again fighting for his Man United career under new boss Louis van Gaal, who apparently is willing to accept £7m for the attacker.

A move to Newcastle United may well be best for all concerned and it’s a move that would helpfully beef up Alan Pardew’s fairly ailing front-line, with the north-east side being without loaned in forward Loic Remy for the coming campaign.

Having sold Yohan Cabaye to PSG in January, and with Mathieu Debuchy set for a move to Arsenal, owner Mike Ashley has the funds to make such an acquisition and Newcastle United fans will hope Pardew is given funds to make significant signings this summer.
