Ospina has spent the last six years at French side Nice, his side narrowly avoiding relegation from Ligue 1 last season, and has had a outstanding World Cup.

Polish international Lukasz Fabianski opted to move to Swansea City earlier this summer, hence the need for a new Gunners signing to fill his spot.

Personal terms with Ospina have apparently been agreed and could be ushered in as Arsene Wenger’s second summer signing following the acquisition of attacker Alexis Sanchez.

Ospina started all five of Colombia’s World Cup fixtures, conceding just four goals in the entire tournament.
