The incoming Old Trafford boss could well do with defensive reinforcements given the exits of veteran pair Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic and this source claims a fee of £6m would be enough to land the 22 year old.

The adaptable youngster, who can play at left-back and in the centre of the defence, has admitted he is set to leave the De Kuip, stating;

“It’s true that I am leaving, but now it’s Feyenoord that will have to say more about the subject.”

Indi played a starring role as the Netherlands secured a very credible third place finish in the World Cup finals and despite his relatively tender years the no-nonsense tough tackler has made 122 appearances for Eredivise side Feyenoord and has won 22 national team caps.

Louis van Gaal has already secured the summer signings of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw from Athletic Bilbao and Southampton respectively.
