Balotelli is said to be one of Brendan Rodgers’ number one targets this summer as he continues to search for a replacement to Luis Suarez, who is set to join Barcelona in a £75m deal.

And while the Italian’s £30m price tag might have put off any potential bidders, Italian newspaper Tuttosport says Milan have slashed that down to just £14m.

The former Manchester City star has been told that he is free to leave the club this summer as they look to bring in either Jackson Martinez or Radamel Falcao in a a replacement.

There has been questions raised over the 23-year-old’s attitude in the past, but at just £14m he could represent excellent value for money.

Rodgers also already has experience with developing young talent and Balotelli’s time playing in the Premier League with City will mean that he already knows exactly what the English game is all about.
