Man United are readying moves for a trio of top talents as Louis van Gaal looks to spend big after his Old Trafford side agreed a massive kit deal with Adidas.

The Daily Star claim that the Premier League side are looking to use a significant portion of the £750m deal with the club’s incoming boss looking to add further additions to his squad having already spent over £60m to sign Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw from Athletic Bilbao and Southampton respectively.

The deal ends the club’s association with Nike as of 2015 and guarantees the Premier League side £75m a year for the duration of the ten year deal.

Van Gaal is set to start his duties as Man United boss this week following his World Cup exploits and wants to secure three big deals as soon as possible.

Man United are in ongoing discussions with Juventus over £40m rated Chilean Arturo Vidal, who would offer van Gaal some much needed midfield creativity.

Bit-part player Nani may be used as bait in that pursuit and could also be offered to Real Madrid as a makeweight as Man United continue to pursue 26 year old Argentine winger Angel di Maria.

Real Madrid want £38m for the former Benfica man but PSG are also hot on the heels of the wide-man, who will demand a £150k a week deal with either interested party.

Van Gaal also wants Germany international Mats Hummels, who is said to favour a move to Man United, with a £20m bid in the offing.
