Arsenal have agreed a £19.8m deal with Real Madrid for midfielder Sami Khedira according to the Metro.

The Bernabeu side are willing to offload the 27 year old German international, who has just a year to run on his current contract, and now the Gunners hope the talented battler is willing to compromise on his wage demands.
Though Chelsea are also known to be keen on the former Stuttgart man Khedira is leaning towards a move to the Emirates Stadium but his £150k a week salary expectations are not likely to be met by Arsenal.
Such a wage would make Khedira the highest paid player at the north London club, along with new signing Alexis Sanchez and record signing Mesut Ozil.
Khedira may well be seen an ideal replacement for Spanish veteran Mikel Arteta, who had a rather average campaign last term.
Sami Khedira moved to the Spanish capital in 2010 but missed much of last season before returning in the latter stages to help Carlo Ancelotti’s side to a Champions League triumph and was also a pivotal member of Joachim Low’s World Cup winning squad.
