Chelsea have announced the squad number of new striker signing Diego Costa.
The Brazilian born Spain international will wear the number 19 shirt for the Blues throughout the coming season, reports the Chelsea website.
The jersey was previously occupied by Demba Ba, who confirmed his transfer to Besiktas earlier today, and Costa will hope to endear himself to the Stamford Bridge faithful rather more than the Senegal international, who was never really given a chance by Jose Mourinho.
Given that Diego Costa scored 34 goals for Atletico Madrid in La Liga and UEFA Champions League last term, he certainly stands a chance.
Costa is set to join up with his new team-mates at the Blues’ continental training camp next week.
