Liverpool could be set to join the chase for big names such as Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba and Marco Reus after gaining extra spending power from the sale of Luis Suarez, the Daily Mirror reports.

The Reds have brought in a whopping £75m from Suarez’s move to Barcelona this summer, and are now ready to compete with some of the biggest clubs in Europe for some truly world class names.

Vidal, Pogba and Reus have all subject of much speculation in this year’s transfer window, with Vidal linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United in deals worth close to £50m, while his Juventus team-mate Pogba is said to be a £60m target for Chelsea.

Reus has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal and United in the past, but Liverpool will now hope to be able to make a real statement of intent by competing for these superb potential signings as well.

Brendan Rodgers is also still keen on signing Southampton defender Dejan Lovren for around £20m, as well as the likes of Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy and Swansea City left-back Ben Davies.

Having already spent big on the likes of Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic, the Merseysiders could spend over £100m this summer, which would be a record for them.
