Jose Mourinho is reticent about allowing Lukaku to move to Goodison Park having allowed Samuel Eto’o to leave when his contract expired this summer and sold Demba Ba to Besiktas but could be open to loaning out 22 year old Atsu give the number of wide-attacking options in his squad.
The likes of Eden Hazard, Andre Schurrle, Mohamed Salah and Willian are all ahead of Atsu in the Blues pecking order and Mourinho may elect to send the former FC Porto man out to garner some much needed Premier League experience.

Roberto Martinez looked to loaned in talent in a big way in 2013/14 and has successfully brought in Gareth Barry on a permanent deal after the England midfielder impressed last term and the Toffees boss may hope Atsu makes a similar impact to Barcelona youngster Gerard Deulofeu, who had a good campaign at Goodison Park in 2013/14.
