Tottenham Hotspur Sporting Director Franco Baldini is in Italy to negotiate the sale of Sandro to Napoli and to enquire over the availability of Roma striker Mattia Destro, according to Forza Italian Football.

The north London club are keen to make some changes to their squad this summer after a frustrating season last year, and Brazilian midfielder Sandro is one who looks to be on his way out of the club.

The 25-year-old has not found his best form with Spurs in recent times, and has been targeted by Napoli manager Rafael Benitez as he seeks to make major signings in the defensive midfield role, with former Arsenal man Alex Song also thought to be on his radar.

Sandro’s contract at White Hart Lane expires in 2016, and it seems likely that the club will look to cash in on him while they can.

Whilst in Italy, Baldini could also look to negotiate a deal with Roma for promising young striker Destro, who impressed with 13 goals in limited appearances for Rudi Garcia’s side in 2013/14.

Tottenham could do with strengthening upfront due to some below-par displays from current strike pair Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor last season, with Destro emerging as one of their top targets.
