Everton look set to sign Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku on a permanent deal after impressing during his loan spell at Goodison Park last term according to the Daily Mail.

The 21 year old has been the subject of much interest, with Tottenham and Bundesliga side Wolfsburg hot on his heels, but a move to join the Toffees is set to be completed this with this source claiming the move would cost in excess of £15m and would therefore break the club’s transfer record fee.

Everton’s current top buy came in the form of Marouane Fellaini, and Lukaku’s move will cost the Merseyside outfit more than the 2008 move for his fellow Belgian.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho seemingly has no intention of using Lukaku having farmed out the youngster to Everton last term and subsequently signed Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid this summer.

Lukaku netted 15 goals in 29 Premier League starts for Everton last term and boss Roberto Martinez will hope the powerful forward continues his good run of form as the Spaniard once again seeks to secure a coveted top four finish whilst enjoying a Europa League campaign in 2014/15.
