AC Milan are reportedly leading the chase for PSG’s wantaway Argentine winger Ezequiel Lavezzi – according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

With first team opportunities more limited than he would have hoped there is speculation the Argentine may look to return to Italy, where he previously starred for Napoli.

The likes of Angel Di Maria have been linked with moves to the French capital suggesting Lavezzi’s playing time could be further curtailed next term.

Tuttosport suggest the Rossoneri are keen with new boss Filippo Inzaghi apparently an admirer. And with Kaka already gone and Robinho going there seems to be the plenty of space for a big-name addition in terms of salary should they decide to do it.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s hopes of signing striker Edinson Cavani have been handed a huge boost with the news that the Uruguayan is set to hold talks over his PSG future later this week, after growing frustrated with his role at the club.

The Mirror have revealed reports in Italy which claim that Cavani, like Lavezzi, has become frustrated with playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the French capital and is said to be harbouring over a switch to England.

According to Sport Italia, the player is set to reaffirm that stance on Tuesday, although it remains to be seen whether or not this will tempt United into tabling a bid, with PSG wanting close to the €64m they paid for Cavani a year ago.
