Tottenham Hotspur are set to focus on the signing of 24-year old Southampton enforcer Morgan Schneiderlin as their next transfer target, reports the Daily Mirror.
The North Londoners have reportedly all but finalised deals for Swansea’s duo of Ben Davies and Michel Vorm, and are now keen on landing £15 million rated Schneiderlin – who was previously rated as a key target for bitter rivals Arsenal
The French international is also keen on a switch away from the Saints after several of his teammates in Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert have managed to engineer moves away from the club this summer.
Although Spurs’ rivals Arsenal are also interested in the young and industrious midfielder, White Hart Lane could be Schneiderlin’s preferred choice since he could then reunite with his former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine manager also rates Schneiderlin very highly as he made the Frenchman an integral part of Southampton’s midfield last season during his time as manager of Southampton.
