Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin has been linked, although there’s rumours that Tottenham are favourites to secure the Frenchman, while German battler Lars Bender has been consistently targeted as well for the anchorman role.

In goal, David Ospina is likely to arrive from Nice, with the Gunners having agreed a £3.2m fee for the Colombian’s services.
