The 25 year old enjoyed a superb World Cup and will be brought in by Arsene Wenger to fight first choice goalie Wojciech Szczesny for the starting spot at the north London club, replacing Lukasz Fabianski who has left to join Swansea City this summer.

Ospina will earn a £60k a week deal and will join Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy, who have already joined Arsenal from Barcelona and Newcastle United respectively.

Having joined Nice in 2008 Ospina may well have felt the time for a fresh challenge with his side having narrowly avoided the drop to the French second tier last term.
