The Dutch custodian is expected to complete a £2.5m move to White Hart Lane with the Liberty Stadium star having agreed a three year deal and has stated as much during an interview with De Telegraaf.

“Every club has two top goalkeepers in their squad,” the Dutchman told De Telegraaf.

“It suits the club’s philosophy that there are two of us with Hugo and me.

“Especially when we see that Tottenham is active in a lot of competitions.”

Seemingly boss Garry Monk is ready to see such a deal complete having brought in Arsenal’s Lukasz Fabianski and another player set to make the same move is left-back Ben Davies.

The young Welsh international will move to Spurs in a £10m deal having already passed a medical and met up with his future team-mates during their North American tour.

The Swansea City pair are the first signings made by new boss Mauricio Pochettino and the move will lead to Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson moving in the other direction.
