2014-15 La Liga fixtures released.

Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez could make his Barcelona debut against fierce La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old Uruguay star, who joined Barca in a £75m transfer from Anfield earlier this month, is currently serving a four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

His suspension is due to expire on October 25 – the day before the first El Clasico clash of the 2014-15 La Liga campaign.

The Spanish league fixtures were released on Thursday and Barca will begin with a home clash with Elche on the weekend of August 24.

Suarez will miss that match, as well as games against Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao, Levante, Malaga, Granada, Rayo Vallecano and Eibar.

Real kick off their La Liga campaign by welcoming Cordoba to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, while champions Atletico Madrid start the defence of their crown with a trip to Vallecano.

All games are subject to change and may be moved for television broadcast or Europa League involvement.

El Clasico could be switched to October 25, in which case Suarez would be unable to play.

Suarez scored 31 goals in 33 Premier League games for Liverpool last season.
